Every month we highlight someone who makes the SEED the do-it-together movement that it is. It takes a community to feed a community, and we’ve got an incredible community. This month we want to introduce Tesfay Okubahans!
Tesfay has been a community gardener since May 2021 when Shelldale Farm Park was established. Since then, he has been a dedicated volunteer with The SEED, serving as a member of both the Shelldale Farm Park planning committee and the community advisory group. He provides vital connections between the project and the community. Tesfay is always eager to assist others, share his expertise, and learn from different cultures. His volunteer contributions are truly remarkable, benefiting the community garden, SFP events, and harvest celebrations. He also volunteers as an interpreter for his own community, connecting them with various programs offered by The SEED, especially SFP and the community garden. With heartfelt gratitude, we thank you, Tesfay!
