We started Souper Heroes in 2014, back when The SEED was just getting started in Guelph. We had a very modest start up budget, a need to get the word out there about food insecurity and our work, and a small but mighty volunteer network. A few volunteers along with our small staff group got together and developed the idea of selling soup starter packs as a way of raising funds and engaging with the community. Selling Souper Heroes soup starter kits has been an excellent way for us to get to know you and for you to get to know us and our work!
